TC Taylor: Setting the Foundation for Jackson State Tigers Football Future

The post-Deion Sanders era has started with a new head football coach being appointed to the program.  Alumni, former Jackson State Quarterback and Wide Receiver T.C Taylor has taken over the program being named the 22nd Head Football Coach.  The road for the first-time head coach has been met with a few setbacks from players following the previous head football coach to Colorado University, and the other jumping into the transfer portal.  Head Coach TC Taylor and his Tigers coaching staff have stayed the course continuing to bring in athletes who want to be a part of the program giving the Jackson State Tigers Football team more opportunities to compete for more SWAC and Celebration Bowl Championships for years to come.

Jackson State Tigers football fans’ confidence in their new head football coach speaks to the belief they have that Head Coach T.C Taylor will recruit the athletes that want to be a part of what the JSU Tigers Football program is building and not what they can offer.  Some want to see Jackson State crumble into ashes, and feel the party is over for the Tigers because they no longer have All-SWAC Quarterback Shedeur Sanders as the signal caller and his dad, Deion Sanders, as the head football coach, who is known for his ability to recruit and lead the Tigers football team to more SWAC Championships and Celebration Bowl bids.

Deion Sanders may have been a bright light that players were searching for to attach themselves to, gain exposure from NFL Scouts who came to practices to see what the players had to offer.  Head Coach TC Taylor is going to build this program on a firm foundation that will allow Jackson State to sustain this minor setback while moving forward for a major comeback.  The question everyone has on their minds right now is, will the Jackson State University Tigers’ new Head Football Coach, TC Taylor, for JSU, be able to beat the South Carolina State Bulldogs, who delivered them a 31-10 loss in the 2021 Celebration Bowl
