Grayson High School’s Dominant Victory in the Region 4-7A Championship Game

Grayson High School Rams Football team had luck on their side with the help of others in the region beating Newton High School, a team they lost to earlier in the season 31-27.  Grayson High School is played Parkview High School for the Region 4-7A Championship, because Grayson needed some help from other teams within the region to beat Newton High School along the way that would set up this game that took place tonight between Parkview High School vs Grayson High School.  All Newton High School had to do was win out and they would have been the region champs.  Unfortunately, Newton High School stumbled along the way losing to South Gwinnett 31-28 and Parkview High School 28-21.

Those two losses put Grayson High School in the Region 4-7A Championship game against Parkview High School.  Tonight Parkview High School, showed they were no pushover in this game against Grayson High School in the first half.   Parkview High School score late in the 2nd quarter going into the half with the score tied 7-7.

Grayson High School went into the half and made the necessary adjustments to get Grayson rolling in the third quarter scoring 14 unanswered points.  Grayson High School got things going with their running game in the second half running with #3 Dylan Elder and #12 Amari Alston.

Grayson scoring 14 unanswered points had Parkview playing from behind.  Parkview High School punted the back back to Grayson High School’s offense who moved the ball down the field allowing the quarterback to score on a 13-yard keeper.

Everything that could go wrong for Parkview in the game tonight found its way to happen.  Parkview High School punt team kicked the ball short giving Grayson High School a shortened field allowing #3 Dylan Elder to score another rushing touchdown.  Parkview High School was frustrated throughout the game with the unsportsmanlike penalties that moved the ball to the 2-yard line for Grayson High School.

Grayson High School #3 Dylan Elder caps off the night with another rushing touchdown to extend their lead over Parkview High School 42-7.  Parkview High School let Grayson High School know they had one more score in them pushing the final score 42-14.  Grayson High School won the Region 4-7A Championship.
