Atlanta, GA. — Morehouse College Maroon Tigers, parted ways with previous Head Football Coach Gerard Wilcher after eight months on the job. Going 0-9 during the 2023 season, Morehouse College felt a change in the head coaching position was imminent. Watching the Maroon Tigers lose games by an average of 22.1 points per game and finishing the football season 1-9, Morehouse College President Thomas and the Board of Trustees look to bring in a new head coach to lead the program in a winning direction.
Some fans and alumni feel Hue Jackson is not the right person to become the 15th Head Football Coach at the prestigious Morehouse College, based on his coaching track record. Coach Jackson has never had a winning season while being a Head Football Coach in the NFL. The best he’s done is go 8-8. The worst he will forever be remembered for was in 2017 when he went 0-16 as the Cleveland Browns Head Football Coach. While at Grambling State University, Coach Jackson’s overall record was 8-14.
Morehouse College is a part of several reports saying the college and the former Grambling State Head Football Coach Hue Jackson are in negotiations for him to become the 15th Head Football Coach of the Maroon Tigers Football Team.
