Savannah, GA – The Lady Tigers were able to break their 11-game losing streak behind the 4-11 shooting behind the three-point line by Taylor Christmas, who led the Benedict Lady Tigers with 17 points, 12 rebounds, 2 assists, and 1 block and Alaysia Nash had 11 points, 5 rebounds, 1 assist and 1 steal.
LeMoyne-Ownens was able to keep the game close with their defense turning the Lady Tigers over multiple times which led to scoring easy baskets in the paint with the boost from their bench. Magicians Kamryn Knight was attacking offensive and defensive glass, getting 13 rebounds, 1 block, 4 steals, and 4 points in the game. The Lady Magicians had two players scoring double digits in the game. Sierra Lynch had 12 points, 2 rebounds, and 2 steals, and Jade Salters had 12 points and 1 rebound before fouling out of the game.
The Lady Magicians were down 3 points with 5 seconds left on the clock looking to shoot a 3-pointer to tie the game to force overtime. Benedict College Dashia Jackson was able to steal the bounce pass to one of the Lady Magicians on the left sideline to end the game.
