Jackson State ability to crash the boards behind Jordan O’neal Trevon Johnson prevented the Rattlers from getting second opportunities to score points in the game.
FAMU had two players scoring in double digits in the game. Shannon Grant scored 12 points with 4 rebounds, 1 assist, and 2 blocks, along with Jalen Speer scored 11 points, 3 rebounds, 1 assist, and 2 steals.
In the first meeting between these two teams, FAMU out rebounded Jackson State giving themselves additional opportunities to score on put backs or was fouled sending them to the free throw line. Tonight, Jackson State showed they had the energy to secure their third game in a row.
