UAPB Women’s Basketball Falls Short Against Ole Miss: Game Review

Pine Bluff, AR – This game was a tale of two halves; the score was tied 24-24 at halftime.  The Lady Rebels found a way to use their height against the Lady Golden Lions, preventing them from scoring in the paint and getting fast-breaks points in the third quarter to build a 13-point lead.

The Lady Golden Lions were able to cut into that 13-point lead bringing it down as low as 7 points.  The Lady Golden Lions center Maya Peat had three blocks in the 4th quarter that allowed the Lady Golden Lions opportunities to leak down court and score buckets to put the Lady Golden Lions in a position to wipe away the lead with a few more defensive stops.

Unfortunately, the Lady Golden Lions were whistled one too many times for fouling one of the Lady Rebel players, putting the Lady Rebels on the free-throw line to extend their lead.

The Ole Miss Lady Rebels had 4 players in double digits Madison Scott 13 points, Marquesha Davis 13 points, Kennedy Todd-Williams 11 points and Tyia Singleton had 10 points.

The UAPB Golden Lions Women’s basketball team fell short in this game against the Ole Miss Lady Rebels women’s basketball team 47-62.
