Steph Curry gets hot behind the three point line to lead USA to Victory
Team USA Men Basketball secures Gold once again in the Olympics. The USA men’s basketball team won gold in the last 4 out of 5 Olympics. Stephen Curry in his first Olympics left no doubt in anyone in attendance and those watching abroad that he is one of the deadliest shooters on the basketball court. Curry shot four three-pointers back-to-back to push the lead back to eleven points increasing his scoring total to 24 points for the game.
Curry ended his shooting night with his vintage step-back three-point shot off his back foot to put Team USA’s lead back up 11 points. Team USA went into the with an 11-point lead, increasing the lead to 14 points midway in the third quarter on a pass from Lebron James to Steph Curry with the score being 47-61 USA.
Team USA had 16 turnovers in the game allowing the France team to hang
around with a possibility to get themselves back in the game. Wembanyama for France had a rough game scoring, made a few shots from behind the three-point line.
Fournier for France made a three-pointer late in the 3rd quarter to get France within 7 points of making a comeback. USA Men’s Basketball turnovers gave France
life believing the game was within their grasp if they strung together
multiple made baskets and a few defensive stands. Anthony Davis continued to be a pest in the paint keeping France’s men’s basketball players from getting easy baskets either contesting or blocking Team France from scoring points in the paint.
Things got a little chippy in the third quarter between France’s
Rudy Gobert and USA’s Joel Embiid, with Davis getting assessed a technical
foul.
Curry playing in his first Olympics proved he is electrifying shooting the basketball on the court. Team USA Men’s Basketball wins Gold beating France in the gold medal round in back-to-back Olympics. Will this be the last game time we
see Lebron James and Stephen Curry play on the Mens Basketball Olympics playing together, and how will the team look in the coming years the talent is closing fast and that will give Team USA some competition in future Olympic men’s Basketball games.
