Boston, MA – All of the praise and expectations of Dallas Mavericks guard, Kyrie Irving on how he has evolved as a player and if he was able to help the Mavericks win another NBA Championship alongside Luka Doncic, his storied career would be rewritten, allowing fans and analyst to view him different as one of the NBA GREATS.
The Mavericks early in game 2 looked as if they had gotten out there in game 1 early game first quarter shooting slump scoring 20 points. The Mavericks looked more focused and ready to even up the series.
There was only one problem, the Boston Celtics fans and Lucky, didn’t forget the postgame comments Irving made after game 1 saying he thought the crowd would have been louder in the arena than they were, and those diehard Celtics fans made sure they gave Kyrie everything he could image being out there on the court before, during and after the game.
Keep in mind Irving played two seasons for the Celtics before he took his talents and moved on to the Nets to play with Kevin Durrant, and every time Kyrie has come back to play in the TD Banks arena the Celtics fans and Lucky have made it a house of horror for Kyrie. Kyrie scored 16 points in the game which wasn’t enough to help the Mavericks steal a game while in Boston that would have given them a home-court advantage. The series heads back to Dallas where they will play game 3 on Wednesday. Will Kyrie be able to help his team win a game at home or go into a 3-0 deficit almost ending a storied playoff run for the Mavericks this season? NBA Fans will be watching to see how game 3 turns out.
