JSU found out that no lead is safe in a basketball game when your team is turning the ball over 31 times, allowing the Grambling Lady Tigers to cut the lead to 11-points.  The Lady Tigers of Grambling State tried to use their defensive ball pressure on the ball handler to turn the ball over, that could lead to easy scores unfortunately ran out of time in the game. Grambling State defense picked up behind Douthsine Prien and Sharonica Hartsfield both recorded 6 steals in the game.   Douthshine Prien lead the Lady Tigers of Grambling State with 11-points, in the game.

Jackson State Lady Tigers were aggressive on the offensive/defensive boards out rebounding Grambling State 45-29, giving them more opportunities to increase their lead.  The Lady Tigers of Jackson State coaching staff will make sure the JSU Tigers ball handlers work on their ball handling skills before their next match-up against Arkansas-Pine Bluffs Lady Lions on February 6th at home 6:00 PM CST.

If the JSU Lady Tigers continue turning the ball over at this level throughout the season they could find themselves in the SWAC Womens Basketball tournament seeded in the SWAC Womens Basketball tournament lower than third where they are currently.
