Jacskson, Ms – The SWAC regular season Champions led by Head Coach Tomekia Reed, against the Alcorn State Lady Braves, showed they were determined to let the Southwestern Athletic (SWAC) teams know they are retooled and ready to reclaim their throne, in regular and post-season SWAC play being the last team standing.
When Ti’Lan Boler made the first three-pointer of the game, the Lady Tigers got off to the races scoring baskets in the paint using fast break opportunities to get those easy scores. The Lady Tigers bench provided a spark when subbed into the game playing defense, forcing the Lady Braves to force shots, and kept them from getting second chance opportunities to score a basket.
The Lady Tigers had 5 players scoring double digits in this game lead by Ti’lan Boler led the Lady Tigers with 17 points followed by Andriana Avent with 14, Miya Crum had 13, Zakiya Mahoney had 11 and Angel Jackson had 10 points.

The Lady Braves turned the ball over often in the game leading to a Jackson State fastbreak score or a drive and kick-out pass to an open player shooting a three-point basket allowed Jackson State to see their lead increase in the second half of the game.
The Lady Braves Zy’Niya White led the team in scoring 21 points, with 9 rebounds and 2 assists, Nakia Cheatham had 6 points, and 6 rebounds with 1 block. Jackson State Lady Tigers handed the Alcorn State Lady Braves their first conference loss of the season beating them 74-46.
