Buford Wolves, KJ Boulder wasted no time taking the kickoff to the house for a touchdown, getting Buford High School on the scoreboard. Grayson Rams answered by scoring a field goal in the game. Grayson Ram’s defense forced Buford Wolves to fumble as they were moving the ball down the field giving Grayson good field position.
Two plays later Grayson Rams took the lead in the game from #7 Quarterback Jeff Davis throwing a touchdown pass to #8 Wide Receiver Alex Sanchez.
Whenever Grayson High School needed a play on defense, #16 DE/OLB Tyler Atkinson found a way to disrupt the Wolves offense.
Grayson High School forced multiple fumbles on several of the Buford drives allowing them to score 10 points, to push the lead to 13-7 before the half.
Buford High School felt the momentum in the game slipping away, drove down the field and went for a field goal that Grayson High School blocked.
Buford Field Goal try was blocked in the 3rd quarter of the game.
After stopping Grayson from gaining any momentum with their offense, Buford found a way to get the ball moving with their offense #6 RB/CB Kobi Blackwell scoring a rushing touchdown putting the Buford Wolves ahead in the game. 14-13.
The two teams battled back and forth, forcing each other to punt the ball. The Buford Wolves had a chance to extend their lead in the game unfortunately, the Grayson Rams defense bowed back forcing them to punt the ball.
Time is ticking away in the 4th quarter and the Grayson Rams are on offense needing a score to win the game. The Buford Wolves understand if they stop Grayson, they win the game. Grayson is down to one play and needs to get a first down to keep the drive going. It was 4th and 5 Grayson was able to convert getting 6-yards. Unfortunately, the Buford Wolves were flagged for roughing the passer, giving Grayson an additional 15 yards moving them closer to kick a field goal or score a touchdown to win the game. The Rams decided to run tempo with their offense.

Buford got the ball back and Grayson turned up the defense preventing the wolves from moving the ball down the field. The Wolves went for it on 4th down on their 15-yard line and were unsuccessful turning the ball over on downs. Grayson got the ball back and took a knee ending Buford High School Wolves Football season. Grayson wins the game and moves on to the next round of the Georgia 7A State Playoffs.
