Coach Hue Jackson came into Grambling State University looking to bring the program back to prominence. Coach Jackson took over the Grambling State Football program from former head football coach Broderick Fobbs who had a record of 54-32. Unfortunately, Coach Jackson that was cut short after two seasons. Coach Hue Jackson record as head coach over those two seasons was 8-14.
This was the season Grambling State Fans were looking to see the football team separate themselves away from the other teams in the SWAC west division, positioning themselves to play for the SWAC Championship. Losing three games by 10 points or less this season, plus the homecoming loss to Alabama A&M and losing the Bayou Classic when there was an opportunity to win the game, making it two consecutive years Grambling State has lost the Bayou Classic.
Regardless of the strides Coach Hue Jackson made in his two years as the Grambling State University Head Football Coach. Grambling State University has decided to move on. Grambling State University is searching for a new head football coach.
