Atlanta, GA – Grambling State Coach Hue Jackson found himself without a job after having a more productive season from a stats perspective, but the wins didn’t mount up as the Grambling Tiger faithful had expected. Coach Jackson was relieved of his duties and sought employment with Morehouse College. The Maroon Tigers fired Head Coach Gerard Wilcher after one season with a 0-9 record and were looking to bring in someone else who would bring a splash to the program from a recruiting standpoint.
Unfortunately, Morehouse College decided to hire former Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Terance Mathis to take over that position.
Coach Hue Jackson wanted to continue coaching on the collegiate level, since he was unable to land a head or position coach position, becoming the recruiting operations coordinator for the Georgia State Panthers is a perfect match.
Coach Jackson was able to recruit athletes from, Utah, California, Louisiana, Florida, Georgia, Alabama, and Texas to name a few states. Georgia State University ranked 109th overall with a transfer rank of 87th according to 247sports.com. This is definitely a big deal for Georgia State Coach Dell McGee who was named as the new Head Football Coach, coming over from the University of Georgia as the running back coach.
The Panthers look to be getting off to a great start with their current recruiting class and adding Coach Hue Jackson to recruit athletes to the program a drastic shift may be coming with the Panthers program that will have everyone excited about the athletes that are on the field winning games.
