DeSean Jackson was named the Delaware State Hornets’ head coach in December 2024, and has been putting together an all-star coaching staff that will recruit and develop the athletes building a dominating football program after going 1-11 last season. Jackson has decided to hire former All-Pro NFL RB Clinton Portis as the running backs coach and run game coordinator.
This will be the former pro-bowl football player first-ever coaching opportunity. What Clinton Portis brings to the Delaware State Hornets football program is his resources and playing knowledge while playing in the NFL and at the University of Miami to help prepare the Hornet’s athletes to continue playing football or life after they are done.
