Chicago Sky vs Seattle Storm: Carter and Reese Leading the Charge

Seattle, WA – Chicago Sky played to their strength in this game and that was rebounding the ball.  This was a tight game with the final score being 88-84 with the Sky going on a two-game winning streak.  Last night, Chennedy Carter and Angel Reese showed the Sky has a two-woman scoring tandem with Carter scoring 33 points and Reese adding 27.

The Sky was down two points at the half and found themselves regaining the lead halfway through the third quarter.  Now something that we’ve seen the Sky do a few times this season is hold onto leads by minimizing mistakes or making up for them with their defense.  The Sky had a few miscues down the stretch with a shot clock violation and Reese stepping out of bounds.

The Storm had five players who scored in double digits in this game, but tonight Angel Reese got to dig in her “Three Ball Barbie” bag showing she has a three-point shot in her arsenal to go along with her being a rebounding machine.  Reese has posted a double-double in twelve consecutive games and doesn’t look to be slowing down anytime soon.  Reese showed how efficient she can be on the court shooting 90% from the free-throw line, and 61% from the field.  The Sky and Storm will play each other again tomorrow evening.
