Baton Rogue, LA Southern University Athletic Director Roman Banks stated previously the University was four days away from deciding on who would be named the 21st Head Football Coach of the Southern University Jaguars Football team.
The Jaguars had several candidates who were hoping to become the 21st Head Football Coach for Southern University. But only one candidate could hold the position.
It has been announced that interim Head Coach Terrance Graves, who took over the head coaching duties once former Head Coach Eric Dooley was let go will have that interim tag removed from his name and will be the Southern University Jaguars Football 21st Head Football Coach.
Coach Graves is the only coach who had the opportunity to be the interim head football coach for Grambling State and Southern University in the prestigious Bayou Classic winning both times in 2021 and 2023.
