University of Michigan National Championship Win: Coach Harbaugh’s Next Move

The accusations and suspensions Head Coach Harbaugh faced, this season, the Michigan Wolverines staff and football team remained focused on the goal which was to finish the business.  The question that seems to be at the forefront after winning the National Championship is what’s next for the University of Michigan Head Coach, will he stay or move on to the NFL?

Most sports analysts feel it is Coach Harbaugh’s time to move on from the University with the alleged NCAA sanctions the University of Michigan football team could face for the alleged cheating signal scandal, or the alleged recruiting violations during Covid-19.

Coach Harbaugh and his staff had a great three-year run making sure the players were well prepared now has the opportunity if he chooses to write a check to go wherever he wishes.  I’m sure Coach Harbaugh is contemplating whether he wants to leave the program.  One thing is for sure Coach Harbaugh has planned things out in his mind.  If he chooses to leave the University of Michigan for an NFL Head Coaching position, the NCAA will lose one of their favorite media-driven Coaches who without a shadow of a doubt will give sports analysts something to talk about for weeks on end.

Before the University of Michigan won the National Championship against the University of Washington analysts forgot to consider how well the Wolverine’s offensive and defensive fronts played all season.  The offensive line for the Wolverines allowed Blake Corum to rush the ball 21 times for 132 yards and Donovan Edwards rushed the ball 6 times for 104 yards with both running backs rushing for two touchdowns apiece.

The defensive front didn’t sack Michael Penix but one time in the game, but made sure whenever they got close to him, they forced him to move around in the pocket.  Coach Harbaugh got his validation as the University of Michigan Head football coach winning the national championship.

As Coach Harbaugh requested at his post-game press conference can he be allowed to enjoy this for a few days and get back to Ann Arbor to celebrate with the team, family, and friends?  While we sit and wait to see what’s next for Coach Harbaugh, the Michigan Wolverine faithful are proud of the job he was able to do with the Wolverine Football program.  There were a few skeptics and the Wolverines proved them wrong, becoming the first college football team since 1998 to rush for over 300 yards in a National Championship game.   Congratulations to the University of Michigan on the 15-0 season and will wait to see what’s next for the Wolverines’ Head Football Coach.
