2025 NFL Season Opener: Eagles Defensive Lineman Ejected for Spitting on Prescott

The 2025 Super Bowl Champions are starting the 2025 football season against a team with whom they will compete in the NFC East Division. The two teams playing in the Thursday Night 2025 NFL season opener couldn’t have been better, generating fans’ excitement now that the season has begun.  The Philadelphia Eagles vs the Dallas Cowboys game started with an injury during the opening kickoff.   Eagles Fullback Ben VanSumeren suffered a knee injury and was carted off the field and won’t be returning to the game.

During the injury timeout, Eagles defensive lineman Jalen Carter and Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott were seen exchanging words while Prescott was standing in the huddle with his Cowboys teammates.  Prescott is shown spitting in the direction of Carter.  Carter was caught spitting at Prescott by the official and was flagged for unsportsmanlike conduct and ejected from the game with 14:54 left in the first quarter.  The Eagles will definitely miss Carter for the game, and hopefully, he doesn’t have to serve any additional game suspension for his actions.
