The Golden Tigers of Tuskegee University Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) player of the year, Kusamae Draper, showed up in tonight’s matchup against Clark Atlanta University, putting on a highlight reel of dunks against the Panthers that left the rim shaking. The matchup that everyone was waiting to see between the SIAC Defensive Player of the year, Kharye Cayne from Clark Atlanta University, and Draper didn’t live up to the hype everyone had expected in this matchup.

Right after Clark Atlanta University tied the game 2-2, Tuskegee University used its defense to build a 10-point lead. The Golden Tigers’ ability to score 34 points in the paint for the game, along with 18 second-chance points, was too much for the Panthers to overcome in this matchup.
The Tuskegee Golden Tigers had three players scoring double digits. Kusamae Draper led the way with 20 points, 6 rebounds, and 4 assists. RJ Walker scored 17 points, 3 rebounds, and 3 steals. Anthony Wright scored 17 points and 11 rebounds.

The Panthers tried to make a run in the second half, trying to get themselves back in the game. The Panthers’ Jared Washington scored 17 points and 4 rebounds, and his Panther teammates needed to provide more help for them to win the game.
The Golden Tigers were too much for Clark Atlanta University, winning the game 73-50, and will be moving on to the SIAC Championship Game against the winner of the Morehouse vs Miles College game.
