Jackson State Tigers Football was able to do something against a MEAC opponent after falling short the past two years with the former Head Coach Deion Sanders led football teams lost the 2021 Celebration Bowl to South Carolina State University 31-10 and the 2022 Celebration Bowl to North Carolina Central University 41-34.
Coming into this rematch game against South Carolina State University, many of the Jackson State Fans didn’t know what to expect with all of the changes in personnel that took place during the off season at Jackson State with the football program. New Head TC Taylor and the tigers coaching staff put a game plan together and had the tigers football team ready to compete in this game.

Jackson State University Head Coach T.C Taylor and the tigers football team looked like they were laser focused and ready to compete at a high level. Head Coach T.C Taylor believes in keeping the athletes away from all the noise so they can focus on the task at hand and that was winning the game, unlike in the past the tigers football team stayed in the heart of Atlanta where they can find themselves getting into all kinds of chaos that would keep them from being mentally prepared for a game. Head Coach TC Taylor let it be known during the post game press conference how focused the players were for this game.

Taylor was a former quarterback and wide receiver for Jackson State University and coached at North Carolina Central winning three conference championships before becoming a quarterback coach at Jackson State University. While coaching at North Carolina Central, Coach Buddy South Carolina State football teams are 0-3 against TC Taylor offenses. Tonight TC Taylor got his first win as THEE Jackson State Head Football Coach against South Carolina State University Buddy Pough led football team.
