Golden Bears Dominate Panthers in Homecoming Game

Atlanta, Ga — The SIAC top two teams in the conference playing one another with the outcome being pivotal to who will stand at the top of the conference to be one of the two teams to play in the SIAC Championship.  It’s Clark Atlanta Homecoming facing off against Miles College with the Panthers beginning the game imposing their physicality on the Golden Bears proving they have no intention of losing their homecoming game.   Clark Atlanta University drove the ball down the field behind David Wright III going 7 for 7 passing for 49 yards and topping off the drive by scoring on a 6-yard rushing touchdown.   Miles College wasn’t as successful with their first offensive possession of the game moving the ball down the field but took advantage of a punt block by John Robinson and recovered in the end zone by Tifton Dobbs to tie the score 7-7 in the first quarter.

The Panthers were lucky to keep the game close in the first half down 14-7 on a 20-yard touchdown pass from Golden Bears quarterback Khalil Anglin to Jaylin Peterson.  The Golden Bears had several opportunities in the first half to extend their lead on several offensive Clark Atlanta mistakes, but the Panthers defense stood strong to keep the score from getting out of reach.

We will have to wait and see how the rest of the season plays out for both teams.
