Former FAMU Rattlers Director of Recruiting is headed to Colorado University

Tallahassee, FL –  Florida A&M Rattlers former Head Football Coach Willie Simmons announced he was going to continue his coaching career at Duke University as the running backs coach, leaving the Florida A&M (FAMU) Rattlers fans base wondering how the program would move going forward.

Weeks before Willie Simmons decided he was leaving the FAMU Rattlers football program,  the director of recruiting, Devin Rispress, was putting together a recruiting class that would have the Rattlers primed to compete against Power 5 and Group of 5 programs that were scheduled to play for the Rattlers to help them repeat as Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) and Celebration Bowl Champions in 2024.

Devin Rispress joined the FAMU Rattlers football program in 2022. Before his arrival, he coached at Rickards and Haana Gadsden County High Schools.  Coach Rispress was able to recruit athletes from Florida State that wanted to be a part of the Rattlers FAMULY, along with other athletes from other Power 5 football programs.  After Coach Willie Simmons made his decision to move on, many of those athletes who committed to the program decided to decommit.

The Colorado Buffalo Head Football Coach Deion Sanders saw the great job Devin Rispress was doing from a recruiting standpoint for the Florida A&M (FAMU) Rattlers, reached out to Devin Rispress, offering him a position with the Colorado Buffalo football staff, which he gladly accepted.   It will be interesting to see the recruits Devin Rispress adds to the Colorado University Football roster, because he has built a strong pipeline in Florida with the recruits he was attracting for Florida A&M (FAMU).
