The Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference has three new coaching positions, and the latest one is the head football coach position at Clark Atlanta University. Coach Keaton was named the new head football coach of the Clark Atlanta University (CAU) Football program after six seasons as the head football coach at Allen University. Keaton left Allen University in 2023 with an overall record of 18-28 after helping the program transition from NAIA to Division II when they became a member of the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) in 2020-2021.
Keaton left Allen University with a 7-3 record and led the conference in yards per game of 454.9 and passing yards of 322 per game. The former head coach took over the CAU program in his first season, leading his team to a SIAC Championship game against Miles College. The former Panthers Coach had the team set on duplicating their 2024 success in 2025 fell short due to injuries and losing several conference games. Allen University Keaton’s former football program handed his Panthers team their first of six consecutive conference losses, 38-49.

The University decided to part ways with the former Panthers Coach after watching the program’s first year success under Keaton early success fall short due to a lack of performance on the field. Clark Atlanta University AD Drew posted a statement saying, “On behalf of Clark Atlanta University (CAU), I announce the departure of Coach Teddy Keaton, CAU Head Coach, who joined us in December of 2023.”
