Eagles’ Epic Comeback: Key Moments Against Rams

The Philadelphia Eagles used their Championship DNA today against the Los Angeles Rams down 19 points in the 3rd quarter to win the game.  The Eagles’ defensive linemen Jordan Davis and Jalen Carter were able to block two Los Angeles Rams Joshua Karty field goals in the fourth quarter, putting the Eagles in position to win the game.  The Eagles’ blocking the game-winning field goal had to be the sweetest because Jordan Davis returned it for a 61-yard touchdown with no time left in the game.  

The LA Rams were leading the Eagles 19-7 at the end of the first half, and forced Jalen Hurts to fumble the ball inside the 10-yard line in the third quarter.  The Rams’ Matthew Stafford threw a touchdown pass to running back Kyren Williams, increasing the lead 26-7.  The Eagles offense came on the field with a new attitude and a new right offensive tackle to handle the blocking assignments on that side of the ball, after right tackle Lane Johnson, suffered an injury during the first quarter of the game.  Hurts who completed 21 out of 32 passes for 226 yard with 3 touchdown passes Devonte Smith, A.J.Brown and Daltas Goedert.  The touchdown pass to DeVonte Smith gave the Eagles the first lead in the game 27-26 with a little under 1:48 left to go in the fourth quarter.  

Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford completed 19 out of 33 passes for 196 yards, with 2 touchdowns and 1 interception, during the last drive. He leaned on his favorite target, Puka Nacua, to help move the ball down the field.  Puka Nacua had 11 receptions for 112 yards, DeVante Adams caught 3 receptions for 56 yards with 1 touchdown.

The Rams field goal was blocked and returned for a touchdown ending hopes of the Rams walking away with the win in this game.  The final score was 33-26.  The Eagles 3-0 undefeated record stays intact will face off against another unbeaten team the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the LA Rams 2-1 will face off against the Indianapolis Colts.
